Labour's by-election victory

LABOUR won a straight fight with the UK Independence Party for a vacant seat on Winwick Parish Council.
Former borough councillor Mike Matthews polled 118 votes for Labour while UKIP’s Andrew Fairfoull polled 66.
There was a low turnout of just 9.53 per cent
