SUPPORT staff at Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group – the organisation responsible for managing the town’s £239 million NHS budget – were busy yesterday supporting Football Shirt Friday.
The event was in the aid of the Bobby Moore Fund, which supports Cancer Research UK and is committed to beating bowel cancer in memory of the legendary footballer.
Bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK.
The CCG is made up of all the town’s GPs, and it has a headquarters office in Birchwood for support staff – most of who turned up in football shirts for mark the special fundraising day.
