Thank God for Ladies Night!

A FASHION show is to be held in a Warrington church – with models strutting their stuff down the aisle rather than on a catwalk.
The “Thank God for Ladies” night will be held at St Wilfrid’s Church, Grappenhall, to raise money for Grappenhall Pre School on April 24 from 7pm.
The event takes place annually – but it is the first time it has been held at the church.
Rector, the Rev Jane Proudfoot said: “I thought it would be a lovely idea to host the ladies’ night fundraiser here at St Wilfrid’s. We think the aisle will make an excellent catwalk – the church really is a great community venue and really isn’t just a place for solemn reflection.
“We want to encourage people to think of us as part of the heart of the community.”
Boutique owner Joanna Kreisler will be providing the fashion.
Liz Kemp, from the pre school, said: “Joanna makes all our models – who are all volunteers from the community – feel relaxed, confident and comfortable in the outfits she chooses for them.”
Proceeds from the night and any donations go towards the charity-run pre school.
Tickets are £8 including a free drink and gift bag. They can be obtained from Liz on 07805 976790 or Moira on 07817 214571.
