TWO young men had a lucky escape when a car flipped out of control and landed on its roof on a footpath on Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington.
As reported by warrington-worldwide on Saturday afternoon, the Vauxhall Corsa, careered out of control crossing Bridgefoot towards Brian Bevan Island, crashed through bollards, before landing upside down on the pavement.
Two young men managed to free themselves from the vehicle and was taken to hospital with minor injuries but was later released.
Police who are still investgating the incident, said both men could consider themselves lucky to have escaped from the accident with only minor injuries – and it could have been much worse if they had not been wearing seat belts.
