Make sure you're registered to vote

YOU have until Tuesday May 6 to register to vote in this year’s local and European parliament elections, which will be held on May 22.
If your name is not on the electoral register, you won’t be able to vote in the elections, and it could also affect your credit rating, which means you might not be able to apply for a credit card, loan or mortgage.
Warrington’s members for youth parliament have joined the council’s chief executive, Professor Steven Broomhead, to encourage young people in particular to register and have their say on important issues that affect them.
If you have recently moved house you need to let electoral services know so they can update your details.
How to register
Registering is easy and a form can be downloaded from the council’s website www.warrington.gov.uk/elections
Alternatively you can contact electoral services on 01925 442184 or email [email protected]
You can also apply for a postal vote or nominate someone to vote on your behalf. To do either of these you need to fill out an application form. These can be obtained from electoral services through the details above. Applications to vote by post must be returned by 5pm on Wednesday 7 May.
