SUPERKART Champion Paul Platt from Warrington, a three times BSA 125 cc (British SuperKart Association) winner and a three times BSA 250cc championship winner started the season in great form at Oulton Park.
Paul is hoping to make this Season his 4th time as winner of the BSA 250cc Championship.
He started off with a win in the first race crossing the line over 5 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.
Once again in his second race Paul lead from start to finish ending the day with two wins and the lap record.
“It’s a really great start to the season and all the work the team has put in has paid off,” said a jubilant Paul.
At the end of last season Paul had a bad shunt and his kart was badly damaged. Time during the off season was spent working on the machine but in final testing he found that the kart was not handling properly.
This meant that with the help of dad Alan from Burtonwood they worked through the early hours replacing the chassis and then tested it ready for
the races.
“All our efforts were not in vain as the kart went like a dream in the first race” said Paul.

Pictures show Paul in action at Lodge Corner and after the race and checking his computer details while dad Alan checks the engine before the start of racing.
