BENTS’ Garden Centre is planning a major recruitment drive ahead ahead of the completion of its latest expansion in October this year.
The expansion is well underway, and on completion will include major extensions to existing departments and the addition of a number of new leading brand concessions, significantly enhancing the amount of retail space at Bents.

As part of the works, the award winning Fresh Approach Restaurant will undergo a major extension and the popular Food Hall will double in size to include a several fresh deli counters.
Both the Children’s Boutique and Pet Care department will increase in size with plans for a groom room and pet café? all of which will provide new employment opportunities.
It is expected that approximately 75 new positions will be generated with the majority at the Centre’s new catering operation. To help prepare for the recruitment drive Bents will be holding a number of Open Recruitment Evenings during June and July.
Matthew Bent, Managing Director at Bents Garden & Home, said: “Our colleagues are crucial to the success of our business and so the recruitment process for the new positions is a very important one and one which we have already started to plan for.
“There will be openings at all levels and we are keen to employ locally. I would urge people to look out for further details of our Open Evenings and take advantage of the opportunities that will be available.”
Further details of the Open Recruitment Evenings are expected to be announced from the end of the month (April 2014)
