THOUSANDS of homes were blacked out across South Warrington and into Cheshire this morning due to a major electricity failure.
A fault on the network led to complete power failures across the WA13 Lymm area and the WA14 Knutsford area shortly after 6am.
Engineers moved swiftly to carry out repairs and power was restored shortly before 8am.
