WARRINGTON and Co – the town’s partnership for economic growth – is to exhibit and participate in PlaceEXPO, the regional property and construction centre for the International Festival of Business being held in Liverpool later this year.
The festival will last for 61 days commencing in June and aims to attract 250,000 visitors from local, national and international markets to a programme of more than 100 events in the Liverpool and wider North West region.
It aims to boost the UK’s economic recovery by raising productivity and driving exports.
PlaceEXPO will provide a venue where professionals can gather to network and meet festival visitors, attend themed seminars and learn about the roadmap for development and construction in the UK’s largest region outside London and the South East.
Warrington is to host Nuclear UK, a major global nuclear conference to be held in Warrington on June 25 as part of the festival.
Steve Park (pictured) managing director of Warrington and Co. said: “The International Festival of Business is a huge coup for the region and one which Warrington has been part of from the outset. We were delighted to announce Nuclear UK last month and our pride in bringing it to Warrington. We are just as proud to announce our involvement in PlaceExpo.
“Warrington is a serious economic player and Warrington and Co. is a key driver in maintaining and growing Warrington’s position of strength. We see PlaceEXPO as a great platform to drive the Warrington success story forward’.
