Fun day for typhoon appeal

A FAMILY fun day is to be held at Penketh Methodist Church and Olive Tree Community Centre to raise money for the Philippines Typhoon appeal and Action for Children.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 31 from 10am to 3pm and there will be competitions for all ages in photography, painting and craft displays.
There will also be competitions for cake making, ploetry, short stories and a dog show. A mini “Commonwealth Games” will include an egg and spoon race, obstacle course, parent race, grandparent race and three legged race.
All age games and other activities will go on throughout the day.
