WARRINGTON Town suffered back to back home league defeats for the first

time this season as they were edged out 0-1 at home to Ossett Town.
Even after losing midfielder Richard Wright who saw red on 37 minutes for a sliding tackle Warrington, who handed debuts to new signings Conor Roberts and Robert Booth, dominated the game for long periods but couldn’t find a way through a stubborn Ossett defence.
With youngster Dylan Glass in the starting line up the young forward almost had a dream start firing wide in the opening minutes following a delayed kick off due to Ossett being held up in traffic.
The visitors were denied their only real chance of the half on 17 minutes when Josh Ollerenshaw saved well.
After Wright was red carded Warrington lifted their game and Scott Metcalfe had a fine effort well saved by Sam Dodds in the Ossett goal just before the break.
James McCarthy saw a free kick tipped over the bar on 54 minutes and moments later Ben Wharton slipped a beautiful pass through to Glass, who placed the ball wide with only the keeper to beat.
The on 64 minutes Ossett scored against the run of play with Bradley Kilburn firing home from outside the box.
Warrington pushed for an equaliser as Metcalfe saw his header tipped over the bar and from the resulting corner substitute Liam Dawson headed just wide.
But with the clock ticking down Warrington couldn’t find a way through as the visitors held on for all three points.
Town are back in action when they travel to Mossley on Saturday kick off 3pm.
