JOBSEEKERS from all over Warrington turned out in force at a job fair to meet with a wide variety of employers with live jobs.
The event, at Bewsey Community Park Centre, was organised by Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) in partnership with Warrington Borough Council.
It was the latest event to be delivered as part of the “Delivering well being in Bewsey and Dallam Project.”
The project is bringing together local organisations working in the area to engage residents, integrate services, pool resources and ensure investment delivers better outcomes for the community.
Numerous firms and organisations showcased jobs and future opportunities to local residents, many of who were also recruited onto pre-employment training courses.
Nearly 200 people attended and there were 80 “live jobs” available in various areas including care, retail, construction, apprenticeships and logistics.
Computers were also available to look for jobs online and to improve CVs and cover letters.
GGHT chairman Roy Smith, said: “It was fantastic to see so many residents from the local community take advantage of this opportunity to receive information, advice and guidance on job opportunities that will help make a positive change in their lives.”
