Action pledge on village rowdies

A CULCHETH councillor has pledged action to stamp out incidents of anti-social behaviour in the village.
Cllr Chris Vobe is to raise the issue with police and call for an increased presence from local CPSOs in the areas brought to his attention.
He has the backing of other members of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council.
Cllr Vobe said: “Acts of anti-social behaviour are carried out by a very small minority of people, but we must be pro-active in ensuring that these selfish acts do not become a permanent blight on people’s leisure time.
“The overwhelming majority of our young people make a positive contribution to our community, and are excellent ambassadors for the village.
“But where incidents do take place, we are keen to ensure that pro-
active action is taken to stamp them out.
“That is why I have promised Newchurch residents that I will speak to the Neighbourhood Police Inspector about the areas affected, and request an increasing presence of PCSOs in the area to help deter those considering anti-social acts.”
