Police appeal after man threatened with knife

POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Warrington involving a 46-year-old man who was walking along Greenwood Crescent near to Dunlin Close when he was approached by a man who was carrying a knife.
He threatened the victim demanding cash ? the victim told the offender he did not have any money on him and the offender fled the scene. The victim was not injured but was left shaken by what happened.
The incidnet happened at 11.30pm on March 11. The offender is described as white, around 5? 8″ tall, of slim build and was wearing a balaclava, grey top and dark bottoms. He spoke with a local accent.
An investigation has been launched and officers are carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to trace the offender.
Anyone with any information, which could assist officers with their enquiries, is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 11 of 11 March or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
