PLANS have been drawn up for new fencing around the athletics arena in Warrington’s Victoria Park.
The 2.4m high green, plastic fence will replace the existing 1.5m high palisade fence, largely following the same line as the existing fence.
It will have five vehicle access gates and one pedestrian access gate. Kits object is to provide improved security for the athletics track.
Although it will be higher than the existing fence, its design and green colour will not be a prominent feature likely to cause significant harm to the character and appearance of the park.
