THE Under-16 basketball team at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School won the end-of-season Warrington Schools Cup competition.
They defeated Birchwood High and Great Sankey High in the closing stages of the contest.
The Boteler team won all its matches iun the league by significant margins, emphasising the gap between the squad and other local schools in the last four years.
This season, Boteler were unbeaten in three competitions, including the England Schools Under-16 Conference where they are in the last 32 teams nationally.
The next match is against Childwall Sports College and victory would see Boteler in the last 16 again like last year.
