Scout and Guide HQ disappears – overnight!

A SCOUT and Guide headquarters has disappeared – virtually overnight.
Work has started on a scheme to build new headquarters for Scouts and Guides at Lymm – and the first phase involved demolition of the existing buildings off Pepper Street, Lymm.
Demolition men made short work of the task and site clearance is now progressing.
The new building will have two halls, a meeting room and kitchen and will provide facilities for Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides, Scouts and Explorers and also provide facilities for local community groups.
The £295,000 scheme has been funded by the Veolia Environmental Trust, Lymm Round Table, Lymm Parish Council, WREN – and by fund-raising by the Scouts and Guides themselves.
It is expected the new headquarters will be completed in July.
