NUCLEAR industry experts from all over the world will soon be converging on Warrington for Nuclear UK – a major event in the International Festival for Business (IFB) calendar.
Nuclear UK will be held at the Park Royal Hotel, Stretton on June 25.
Steve Park, managing director of Warrington and Co., Warrington’s partnership for economic growth, said: “That the nuclear sector has chosen to stage this prestigious event in Warrington underlines the town’s significance within the international nuclear community.
“The UK’s position at the forefront of a global nuclear renaissance is underpinned by our heritage, experience and knowledge of the nuclear industry, built over decades right here in Warrington.”
The IFB is the largest global concentration of business events during the year, running across seven weeks in June and July and attracting business delegates and trade intermediaries from around the globe.
Nuclear UK is a strategic leadership forum aiming to promote ideas and innovations that will drive development of the nuclear industry in the future.
Warrington, the location of world-class nuclear engineering, research, training and project delivery expertise, is seen as the birthplace of the UK’s nuclear industry.
Among keynote speakers at the event will be John Clarke, CEO of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Stuart Crooks, MD Generation, EDF Energy, Robert Zadora, executive director, NuGen, Mike Tynan, chief executive of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre and Dave Unsworth, managing director, Westinghouse UK.
