TEMPORARY speed limits and road closures are being introduced on Warburton Bridge Road, Rixton at its junction with the A57 Manchester Road to enable Warrington Borough Council to carry out road improvements and essential traffic signal maintenance.
Work started on Monday (March 3) with closures starting on Monday, April 7 for a period of three weeks. However it is expected the closures will only be enforced between 9.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday, to avoid peak traffic periods.
An alternative route will be signposted via Manchester Road, Kingsway North, Kingsway South, Higher Knutsford Road, Stockport Road, Camsley Lane, Booths Hill Road, Eagle Brow, The Cross, New Road, Rushgreen Road, Birch Brook Road, Bent Lane, Townfield Lane and vice versa.
