Anti-tobacco street dance

TWELVE street dancers and a street poet will perform a five minute anti-tobacco performance piece with a twist at Market Gate, Warrington.
The performance is taking place to highlight the International Conference on Urban Health at Manchester Central and will see world renowned health professionals in Manchester from March 4-7’
Performers with branded t-shirts displaying the message “tobaccokills1in2” will be performing to the public four times. The dance piece will have an unexpected ending with half the dancers falling to the ground to highlight that 1-in-2 long term smokers die from their addiction.
At the end of the dance, the performance poet will deliver powerful anti-tobacco industry messages to the public.
The performances will be at Market Gate tomorrow (Wednesday) between 1.30pm and 3pm.
