POLICE are investigating after an arson attack on a house during the night.
Two windows were smashed and two fires started at the property in Sandy Lane, Orford, Warrington.
Fire crews were called to the scene at about 2.10am after nearby residents reported a fire inside the house.
They found two separate seats of fire – although both fires had almost burned themselves out by the time the firefighters arrived.
They used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the house.
The occupants were apparently not in at the time of the attack.
