WARRINGTON Town’s top of the table clash with Curzon Ashton this coming Saturday (Feb 22) will be a “pay what you want day.”
Warrington Town Managing Director Toby Macormac said: “This Saturday Warrington Town host Curzon Ashton in a re-arranged fixture due to the floodlight failure earlier in the season.
“That night the club should have issued tickets/passes to the people in attendance but unfortunately due to the complications on the night this obligation was not fulfilled.
“This Saturday many people will attend the match who previously were unable to do so and the club like many others have matchday overheads to cover from officials, stewards to catering which could possibly be more than the previous 348 people that attended.
“With this in mind the club has taken the decision to amend the admission fee for the match to a “pay what you want day.”
This enables all the people who attended previously to enter the match for free and those that did not, have the option of contributing to the matchday overheads.

Pictures from the night the lights went out as Warrington led 2-0 after just 29 minutes.
