CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service’s rescue boat and a crew including a firefighter from Warrington have been deployed to Berkshire to help out in flooded areas.
It is the fifth deployment of firefighters from Cheshire to be sent down south to areas hit by serious flooding.
The boat is being used to ferry equipment and personnel.
The crew will be working alongside local fire crews over the next four days.
Among earlier deployments, station manager Mark Coleman and five firefighters from Warrington went to Maidenhead with a fire engine and dry suits to work alongside Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
All requests for assistance have come from the Fire and Rescue Service National Co-ordination Centre.
