Family pay tribute to caring dad

THE family of a man who died following an alleged murder in Warrington on Saturday (15 February) have paid tribute to him.
Trevor Allen, (pictured right) aged 56, from Manchester, died following an incident in Manchester Road, Rixton, on Saturday morning.
His family said: “Trevor was an amazing, caring dad, granddad, brother, uncle, son and friend to many. His smile and charm made the room light up when he walked in. Loved by all who knew him, he is irreplaceable and will be very sadly missed.”
A man has been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
Mark Slater, aged 46, from Hillside Avenue in Oldham, appeared at Runcorn Magistrates? Court this morning (Monday 17 February) via video link.
He was arrested on Saturday 15 February and has subsequently been charged with the offence and remanded into custody.
The charge relates to an incident on Manchester Road in Rixton on Saturday morning.
Police attended an incident at 8.15am following reports that a man was deceased – he was declared dead at the scene.
