Fire crews sent to help in flooded areas

FIRE and rescue crews from Warrington have been deployed to help in flooded areas of the country.
Station manager Mark Coleman and five firefighters from Warrington Fire Station have gone to Maidenhead with a fire engine and dry suits for working in water.
They are working alongside Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
In another deployment, Cheshire Fire Service has sent a team of firefighters from Congleton to Kidderminster with a high volume pump appliance.
They are working with Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Both teams are spending several days helping in the flooded areas.
Cheshire was responding to requests for assistance from the Fire and Rescue Service National Co-ordination Centre, who are coordinating the national response.
