Police appeal after teenager hit by car

POLICE are appealing for information after a teenager was knocked down as he crossed the road in a fail to stop collision at Europa Boulevard in Warrington.
Fortunately, the 18-year-old was not seriously injured ? he sustained cuts and grazes to both elbows, both hands and pain and bruising to his right foot ? but police are appealing for witnesses to trace the driver of the car involved.
The incident around 12.05am on 8 February the teen was crossing the road with a group of friends in Europa Boulevard heading towards McDonalds when he was in a collision with a car.
The car is described as a small dark coloured vehicle – believed to be a new shape Renault Clio ? the vehicle did not stop at the scene and left in the direction of Martin Dawes.
There were two males in the front of the vehicle – police are appealing for them to come forward. Officers are also urging anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has been in the area at that time and has seen anything significant to get in touch.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 7 of 8 February or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
