BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Michael Collings will be the off-field attraction when Warrington Wolves start the new Super League season against St Helens on Thursday night.
Collings, who is renowned for his rendition of Fast Car which has more than 25 million views on YouTube, will help the club celebrate the Halliwell Jones Stadium’s 10th birthday.
Since the opening Super League game against Wakefield in 2004, the stadium has hosted numerous events including Challenge Cup semi-finals, Championship Finals days, wedding fayres, business networking, UEFA Women’s Championship matches, community workshops and most recently two Rugby League World Cup matches.
Club ambassador Alex Murphy OBE will lead a host of former Warrington stars in a minute’s applause in memory of Roy ‘Ockher’ Aspinall prior to kick-off.
Wolfie will be on hand to lead the crowd in celebration as we welcome our Birthday Children onto the pitch as they celebrate their tenth birthdays with us this February.
Fusion Elite will add to the performance element of the evening and Centerplate will once again provide a market-feel in the concourses with a wide range of refreshments to choose from including Frank’s Original New York Streetdog, Domino’s Pizza and The Pie Factory to Tetley’s, Carlsberg and San Miguel.
