Man overcome by smoke

FIREFIGHTERS administered oxygen to a man after he was overcome by smoke tackling a kitchen fire at his home in Warrington.
The blaze was in the kitchen at a flat in St Elphin’s Close at about 9pm.
Smoke damage was caused to the flat and fire crews used a ventilation unit to clear fumes from the premises.
The occupier was given oxygen and did not require hospital treatment.
Cause was a pan left on the cooker which overheated and burst into flames.
