MORE traffic hold-ups on the A49 Winwick Road, Warrington are in the offing.
A temporary ban on vehicles turning right from the A50 Long Lane onto the northbound carriageway of Winwick Road, Warrington, or proceeding straight ahead across the A49 into Hawleys Lane is due to come into force on Monday, February 10.
It is expected the ban will be in force for two weeks but, to minimise traffic disruption, it is expected the restrictions will only be in place between 9pm and 7am, when signs will be in place on site.
An alternative route will be via A49 Winwick Road, A49 Lythgoes Lane, Cockhedge Island, A49 Lythgoes Lane and the A49 Winwick Road.
The works are required to allow for resurfacing works to the A49 Winwick Road associated with the new junction to the Alban Retail Park to be carried out.
