New speed limits proposed

NEW 40mph speed limits look set to be introduced in Hollins Lane and Alder Lane, Winwick.
Warrington Borough Council plans to impose the limits and all representations or objections must be received by the council by Febrary 6.
The areas affected are Hollins Lane, from the exist 30mph limit near Hollins Drive to the junction with Alder Root Lane and Alder Lane, from its junction with Alder root Lane to the 30mph limit near Fir Tree Lane.
Council highways chiefs have carried out a review of speed limits in the area and say the proposals are based on the collision rate on the two roads.
