CHESHIRE Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer is looking for 12 volunteers from across the county to help him gather public views to help shape his Police and Crime Plan.
Anyone interested in shaping the future of policing in Warrington and across the county is welcome to apply.
Mr Dwyer said: “The volunteers I’m looking for will help the communication and consultation officer gather feedback from the public, ultimately, shaping the Police and Crime Plan and the way Cheshire is policed.
“I’m looking for people who don’t mind putting themselves out there, and asking people their opinions about policing. Last year over 1,000 surveys were completed to inform my Police and Crime Plan. I hope the volunteers will help me to reach more residents increasing the amount of feedback I get, helping me to make better informed decisions.”
The volunteers will attend a minimum of four consultation events across the county – while the commissioner conducts his road shows, in towns and villages and at major public events such as the Cheshire Show.
Anyone interested should visit www.cheshire-pcc.gov.uk/get-involved
Four volunteers are needed from the east of the county, four from the west and four from the north.
Volunteers, who must be over 16, will be vetted prior to appointment.
