THE Warrington based 2013 English Half Marathon has been nominated for the Best UK Half Marathon at the Running Awards that are to be held over the London Marathon weekend in April.
Event director Rob Griffiths said: “It is a huge honour to be nominated alongside some very large and successful events – a true sign that the English Half is finally making waves in the running industry.
“To ensure that we give it our best shot at making the final we now need the people of Warrington to get behind us.
It only takes a couple of minute to vote for us and every vote will help us!”

Rob added: “Making the final of this Award Category or even winning it will take the EHM Festival of Run to the next level – so please vote if you feel that we deserve the recognition.”
The English Half Marathon starts and finishes on Victoria Park each year, following a route through the south of the town.
