Peace Centre hosts law advice event

WARRINGTON’S Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace is hosting an innovative new event to help people take care of their family’s futures and give themselves peace of mind.
On Wednesday January 15, the Foundation will be holding its first ever Peace of Mind Day at the Peace Centre, in association with a local law firm.
They will be at the Peace Centre to help and advise on a wide range of legal issues that, although extremely important, are usually put off for another day.
Topics under discussion on the day include: wills and probate; help for people to avoid losing their home to pay for care fees and other unwanted beneficiaries; investment advice and tax planning; life insurance, retirement planning, help to protect inheritance and lasting power of attorney.
Jonathan Levy who is organising the day said: “This is a great opportunity to discuss these important and sensitive subjects in complete confidence; taking care of your family’s future by not leaving things to chance is a great New Year’s resolution.
“We are hoping some people may consider making provision to help the Peace Centre and the help and services we provide to many people including victims of terrorism, armed services veterans and vulnerable young people. We are the only UK charity which provides such a unique range of services for those affected by violent conflict, based here in Warrington.
“We need to raise more than £600,000 a year to continue with our important work. It is the support and generosity of our supporters that keeps us going and remembering us in your will can make a significant difference to the positive impact we have on people’s lives.”
Private one-to-one 30 minute appointments will be available on the day from 10am-5pm free of charge.
Call 0800 206 1273 to book a 30 minute appointment or a place at the evening presentation. Alternatively, for further information, please email [email protected] or call him on 01925 581232.
