Town make it five wins in a row

WARRINGTON Town made it five wins in a row in all competitions but made hard work of their 2-0 victory over lowly Ossett Albion.
Warrington took the lead after nine minutes when Peter Dogan slotted the ball home from long range following a poor clearance by Ossett keeper Adam Rhodes.
But there was little else to show for the home team as Ossett fought their way back into the game and probably felt unlucky going in 1-0 down at the break.
Warrington only created two half chances with Ben Wharton firing over the bar and James McCarten heading over from a corner.
The second half saw lots of long balls with neither side creating many clear cut chances.
But with the clock ticking down a speculative shot from substitute Liam Dawson was handled in the box by Henry Owen, with Ciaran Kilheeney stepping up to cooly dispatch the penalty to ease any last minute nerves.

Pictures show James McCarten (top) heading towards goal, Scott Metcalfe celebrating with goal scorer Ciaran Kilheeney and Skipper David Mannix (below) crossing the ball.
