Wire keep play off hopes alive

SECOND half goals from Ciaran Kilheeney and Phil Doran kept Warrington

Town’s slim play off hopes alive as they defeated strugglers Ossett

Albion 2-1 at Cantilever Park.
In a goaless first half chances were at a premium with neither side creating a clear cut strike on goal.
But Warrington dominated the second half and eventually took the lead after a great long ball from Jon Newby put Kilheeney through one on one with the keeper, with the top marksman making no mistake.
A great strike form outside the box by Doran made it 2-0 after 74 minutes but Warrington had a nervy last 10 minutes when the visitors pulled one back against the run of play from a soft free kick which somehow evaded Town keeper Andy Robertson.
Warrington are back in action next Saturday when they visit table topping Skelmersdale United who were surprisingly held 2-2 at home by lowly Goole.

Pictures show Kilheeney scoring and celebrating his goal and Doran’s great shot.
