A FUNDRAISING day at a Warrington store, in memory of the manager’s mum who tragically died from cancer, raised £675.
Jane Colbeck, 20, from Appleton, has been coping with the loss of her mum Susan since she lost her 18-month battle with ovarian and breast cancer, aged just 52.
Jane and her team at Warehouse, in Golden Square Shopping Centre, raised the money for Breast Cancer UK.
She said: “The day was fantastic and so much fun. The total was amazing and it means we sold a lot of 40p raffle tickets! Prizes were donated by stores throughout Golden Square Shopping Centre and all the winners are delighted with them.”
Jane’s friends, family and colleagues helped make the day a success.
“I know my mum would be proud of what the team has achieved and we will definitely look to do it again very soon to help raise even more funds for this fantastic cause,” she said.
