Run-down nightclub sold

A RUN-down nightclub building in town centre Warrington has been sold – and may become a retail store.
Bar Zero, in Bridge Street – known by older residents as The Packet House – has been closed for a number of years and has been criticised in recent months for becoming an eyesore.
It has been purchased by local entrepreneur Mike Hollington, through the Manchester office of business agents Christie and Co.
Mr Hollington is currently applying for planning permission to develop the property to create a ground floor retail space and has plans that will “most certainly improve the look of the property”, according to Christie and Co.
He said: “My mission statement and inner driving force is to transform the old bar/nightclub into a daytime, lived-in, bustling, inspiring building; and to create an exciting and desirable unit as soon as possible.”
Guide price for the freehold of the building of £80,000 plus VAT.
