TILLS were ringing with the sounds of sales when the new Hatters Wedding and Lifestyle centre was officially opened in Horsemarket Street, Warrington.
Shop keepers were delighted to see so many people turn up to help make the event a success and when Mayor of Warrington Cllr Steve Wright cut a pink ribbon the centre was officially open for business.
It wasn’t long before trade was booming as visitors were so impressed with what’s on offer.
Gallery Studios portrait photography took a booking for a wedding from a couple who had travelled from Staffordshire for the opening event.
The initiative to re-brand the former Hatter’s Row shopping centre with a wedding and lifestyle theme is also intended to help other businesses in this area of the town centre by making Warrington a credible destination for finding wedding and lifestyle requirements.
Borough council deputy leader Cllr Mike Hannon said: “It is inspiring to see this amount of new businesses coming together at the same time, so full of enthusiasm with a determination to provide such top quality services in our town centre.
“We predict a bright future for Hatters and I look forward to seeing it become a flagship for wedding and lifestyle retailing in our town centre.
“If you have not visited Hatters recently I definitely recommend taking a good look round. The centre is full of very talented people with something for everyone, and the atmosphere is wonderful.”
Shopkeepers are already planning a series of future promotions including vintage fairs, healthy living events and a series of entertainers.
