WARRINGTON Town ended a five game losing streak with a well earned point in a 1-1 draw at Salford.
Manager Shaun Reid gave starting debuts for new keeper and ex-Salford shot stopper Andy Robertson, (pictured right) with Robbie Williams starting at right back.
Warrington had the best of the first half with the lively Ash Ruane (pictured top) making the break through in first half injury time as former Wire Andy Heald gifted possession to the young forward who took his chance well from the edge of the box to make it 1-0 at the break.
Lee McEvilley thought he had put Town two up when he volleyed against the inside of the post on the hour.
With four wins in their last five games Salford pressed and were rewarded on 71 minutes when Steven Yarwood headed home a pin point cross to level the scores.
The home side looked the more likely to snatch a winner but Warrington managed to hang on for a well earned point and will travel to Burscough on Tuesday evening with renewed confidence.
