SUNDAY, June 17 is "Open Farm Sunday" - and Red Bank Farm, Newton-le-Willows will be one of hundreds of farms across the country inviting visitors to drop in and learn more about food and farming.
The event, organised by LEAF - Linking Environment and Farming) offers an opportunity to find out more about how farmers produce food and care for the countryside.
The farm will be open from 11am to 4pm - and admission is free.
Farmer Angela Watkinson said: "My family and I are really looking forward to welcoming visitors to our farm so people can find out for themselves about the story behind their food and see how we care for our animals and  the countryside too."
Red Bank grows barley and grass and cattle, lamb, pigs, hens and other animals.
Visitors will be able to go on farm tours, hold small animals and see sheep shearing.
Other attractions will be a hog roast, refreshments and a display of some of the equipment used on the farm, face painting and bird of prey display and shows.
