WARRINGTON Town's new boss Shaun Reid saw his side record their first victory since he took charge as they defeated Ossett Town 2-0 at Cantilever Park.
It was a big improvement on last week's 7-1 defeat at Durham and carried on the good work from Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Trafford.
In a strong first half showing, Chris Thompson, Rob Hardwick and Dale Wright all had a number of good chances to put the home side infront.
The Wire were dealt a blow on 43 minutes when Gerard Kinsella was brought off with a hamstring injury to be replaced by Kyle Hamid.
At the start of the second period, Nick Jackson and the hard working Liam Shipton linked well to give Warrington a corner.
A pin point cross from Owen Roberts found the towering Michael Jackson who headed home from the edge of the box on 51 minutes.
Then on 74 minutes more great work on the wing by man-of-the-match Shipton saw his cross was turned into the net by Chris Thompson with a deflection off Ossett centre half Ryan Laight to make it 2-0.
After the match Reid said he was delighted with the clean sheet as keeper Paul Pritchard hardly had a save to make thanks to a great shift at the back by Michael Jackson and skipper Mike Tomlinson at the heart of defence.
Now Warrington face a tough test at play-off chasing Witton Albion on Monday night followed by the visit of title chasing AFC Fylde next Saturday who are expecting to bring three coach loads of supporters.
