WARRINGTON'S nature lovers, dog walkers and joggers are being asked for their views about local woodlands as part of a new campaign from The Mersey Forest. The "Love your woods?" project is collecting people's thoughts about their local woods in the run-up to Christmas, with the best comment set to win a free Christmas tree and the chance to take a "Land Rover safari" tour of Delamere Forest.
Deadline for views is December 1.
Paul Nolan, director of The Mersey Forest, said: "Whether you have a particular favourite woodland, have seen your local greenery change over the years, or simply want to share your thoughts on why woods are important to you, it would be great to hear your views. Your comments will help us as we update The Mersey Forest's long-term plan to plant millions of trees to make Merseyside and Cheshire an even better place to live and work."
