RESIDENTS are being warned to be on their guard against an African wild

cat which is on the loose in the Paddington/Woolston area of Warrington.
The African Genet, is one of only two registered “exotic” pets in the UK and is believed to have already killed some local chickens.
While not official listed as a dangerous animal it can attack if approached.
It is slightly larger than a standard domesticated cat.
Anyone who witnesses the animal is warned not to approach it but can be put in touch with the owner via warrington-worldwide by emailing [email protected]
Alternatively contact the RSPCA or police.
