Town draw again!

WARRINGTON Town were held to a disappointing 2-2 home draw with lowly Prescot Cables, dropping two valuable points in their push for the play-offs.
It was Warrington’s 12th draw of the season although the point kept them 6th in the table.
After Town dominated the first half without creating many real chances, it was the visitors who took the lead deep in injury time with their first real chance as a lucky deflection enabled Lee Madin to score, to make it 0-1 at the break.
Warrington started the second half with more determination and were quickly rewarded when Sam Finlay (pictured above) cooly slotted home finishing off a fine flowing move.
Town continued to dominate the game and eventually took the lead on 68 minutes when Mike Duffy headed home after calmly picking his spot to beat the keeper.
But as the game wore on relegation haunted Prescot started to look dangerous on the break and found the equaliser on 75 minutes when Lee Madin headed home unmarked, much to the dismay of the Warrington defence as he looked two yards off-side.
It was a special day for two young fans, 10-year-old James Edwards, (pictured right) who was mascot for the day and is pictured being led out by club captain Mike Tomlinson.
Meanwhile birthday girl Lauren Bell celebrated her 13th birthday and received a card signed by all the players. Lauren’s dad Graham is one of the club’s loyal fans who assists head groundsman Jon Barton, while brother Stephen helps out as a steward.
Warrington now have a week off before travelling to 4th placed Chorley next Saturday, kick off 3pm.
