Question Time on council's budget

MEMBERS of the public will get a chance to debate Warrington Borough Council’s budget for the coming year on a “Question Time”-style programme to be broadcast by Radio Warrington.
The programme will be broadcast from the Padgate Campus of Chester University and will feature a panel made up of councillors and others.
The event takes place on Tuesday, March 8.
Members of the audience will be able to ask panellists about spending cuts and how they will affect people in the town.
On the panel will be Cllr Paul Campbell, the council’s executive member for finance, Cllr Peter Carey, Labour’s finance spokesman on the council, Ryan Barnes, Members of the Youth Parliament for Warrington North, John Chandler, programme manager, The Children’s Society in Warrington, Eileen Fitzgerald, Older People’s Engagement Group, and Colin Daniels, chief executive, Warrington Chamber of Commerce.
The programme will be recorded at the Student Union from 7pm and is expected to last an hour.
Audience members are asked to arrive between 6.30pm-6.45pm to allow the programme to start on time. Attendance is free but is on a first-come-first-served basis.
It will be broadcast the following evening at 7pm and repeated on Sunday, March 13 between 12 noon and 1pm.
