Man in court on explosives charge

A MAN appeared in court at Warrington today charged with making an explosive with intent to cause injury and three counts of witness intimidation.
Steven Alan Barnett, aged 52, of no fixed address appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody to Warrington Crown Court..
This follows an incident on Sunday when police discovered a bag containing explosive devices on waste land off Marsh House Lane, Warrington.
A cordon was set up and an army bomb disposal team attended and made the devices safe.
