Two fire crews called out to forklift truck fire

TWO fire crews were called out last night (Thursday) following reports of a forklift truck on fire at commercial premises on Omega, Warrington.

At 20:21, two fire engines from Birchwood and Penketh attended at premises on Skyline Drive after being called to a forklift truck that was smoking.
A fire in a compartment of the forklift truck was discovered and extinguished using a hose reel jet.

Earlier in the day at 16:34, two fire engines from Warrington and Birchwood were called out to reports of a fire in the open near Old Alder Lane near Burtonwood.
The fire consisted of rubbish. Firefighters used two extended hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
