“Ladies Day” will benefit cat charity

A “LADIES Day” is being organised at Winwick on Saturday August 11 to raise money for the charity group Kitten Karers.
The event, at Five Pines, in Myddleton Lane, will be the 4th held to raise money for the self-funding charity, which is dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens and is always on the lookout for loving homes for its feline friends.
Last year, the event raised £503 and organisers hope to better that figure this year.
Spokesperson Debby Hughes said: “We have been lucky with the weather up to now and are hoping the sun will be shining again this year.”
During the event there will be a competition for the three best-dressed ladies.
The event will be supported by a number of shopkeepers in the Culcheth area.
