Pupils win praise for production of “Grease”

PUPILS at Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School have won praise from parents and other members of the audience following their production of the musical “Grease”.
Four performances were given over two days – but rehearsals have been going on since November.
Drama teacher Audrey Armstrong said the cast – despite the usual nerves – had been exceptional. They had made a huge commitment during rehearsals during lunchtimes and after school.
She said: “It was all worth it as audience feedback has been phenomenal with comments such as ‘Incredible and amazing performances’, ‘Brilliant singing and great characters’,  ‘Very funny it really made me laugh’,  ‘I had goosebumps on the back of my neck during the songs’.”
Mrs Armstrong said many staff supported the students during the production and she would like to thank all of them for giving their time.
Pupils and teachers from Alderman Bolton and Latchford St James schools had given incredible support and the loan of costumes by youth theatre group Codys had also enabled members of the cast to really “look the part.”
