UPDATED VIDEO: POLICE are investigating after unknown offenders entered a bar at Lymm and threw paint over customers last night
The incident was at the Venue bar, in Rectory Lane, a short distance from Lymm Cross, shortly before 8.30pm. Two men approached the bar during a quiz night. They were carrying tins of paint which they threw over the bar. Then the men made off in a vehicle after the attack.
Customers immediately rolled up their sleeves and helped staff clean up the bar before the paint had time to set.
A spokesperson for The Venue said they wanted to thank people who had come to their assistance.
“We don’t know what we have done to deserve this.”
Police are asking members of the public who were in the area at the time if they saw anything, either in or around the bar or nearby.
